. This is a study using the children of Israel leaving Egypt and possessing the Land, as an "ensample" (Grk. type) of the journey that God has, is presently, and is yet to take the Church, (the Bride of Christ) on.(Gen.12:1; 15:13-21, Exod.12:1-15 / 1 Cor.5:7-8) Deut.12:1-12, 1 Chron.17:1-15; 22:1-19, 2 Chron.5:1-14 / Eph.2:20-22, 1 Cor.10:1-11) The apostle Paul wrote, "Whatsoever things that were written aforetime (the Old Testament) were written for our (the Churches) learning. that we through patience and comfort of the (Old Testament) scriptures might have hope." (Rom.15:4, Gal.1:11-12, 2 Tim.3:16)
This is the first of three patterns that overlay each other confirming that God is working according to a deliberate plan and purpose. (The other two are, Phase 4, The Tabernacle of Moses, and Phase 8, 9, 11 The Feasts of Israel).
