This Phase teaches the time frame that God is working within, to make Eve (the Church, the Bride). God always works in patterns of "weeks" or "sevens" (Gen.1-2, Exod.16:26, Lev.23; 25:1-7) Therefore it is not a strange thing that He would work six days and rest the seventh in His Redemptive plan for man. (mankind, humanity) These Redemptive days are interpreted by the apostle Peter to be 1000 year days. (2 Peter.3:1-9, Psalm.90:4)
History confirms this by the study of the "begats" of Genesis 5. They reveal that there are approximately 2,000 years (2 Redemptive days) from Adam to Abraham. Abraham to Christ can be chronicled to be another 2,000 years (2 Redemptive days), which gives 4,000 years from Adam to Christ. (4 days) Now it is understood why Israel was to keep the Passover Lamb for 4 days before killing it in the evening. (Exod.12:1-6) When Adam sinned, Christ our Passover .(1 Cor.5:7-8) was taken and kept 4,000 years (4 days) and crucified at the end (i.e. the evening) of the fourth day.
Our calendar (which not accurate) places us 2,000 years AD. (another 2 days) completing almost 6,000 years since Adam, or 6 days before the Lord. (Note: God's Redemptive plan is 6,000 years or six days old. This study is NOT saying the earth is only 6,000 years old.)1
Now apply the pattern that God stops working after six days, and rests the seventh. (Gen.2:1-2)
Jesus will return when the mystery of God is finished, (Rev.10:7, Acts.3:21) which coincides with the end of the sixth day. Then there is a 1000 year rest, the ultimate Sabbath. The seventh day! (Rev.20:5) Time is running out! The Bride is about to be completed! The Clock is ticking!(Review Phase 2)
Note: This study IS NOTsaying that Jesus is returning at the year 2,000 AD. because obviously He did not. It is NOW 2010! However, it does give a picture of the urgency of the hour. One thing is for sure, our generation is the closest yet to the Marriage of Christ and His Church.
God does have a time clock
The apostle Peter spoke of God's clock running out when responding to those that were "scoffing" at Christ's second coming. (2Peter.3:3) He used Noah 2 and the flood to explain that there is a set time when God's long suffering will end and judgment will happen. Peter said, "the heavens and the earth, which are now (from the 1st. century unto our present day), by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men." (2Peter.3:7, Jude.1:14-19, Rev.19:11-21; 20:1-3) Peter wrote (2Tim.3:16-17) that...
1. The heavens and earth "which are now" are reservedinto fire.
(Note also Acts.3:19-24, Rev.10:7) Time is running out.
(2Peter.3:1-9)
2. As it was in Noah's day, mans days are numbered.
(Gen.6:3, Matt.24:37-38, 2Peter.3:5-7)
No man knows how many days, (Matt.24:12:36) but
the clock is ticking!
3. Peter said on the day of Pentecost that it was the "last days."3 (Acts.2:17) The writer of Hebrews says that God hath
in "these last days spoken by His Son..." (Heb.1:1-2) The
apostle John says, "it is the last time" (1John.2:18) Were they
wrong? Of course not! They were writing under the anointing
and inspiration of the Holy Spirit. (2Tim.3:16-17) They were
speaking of the last two thousand year days from the
Cross until our time. (The 5th. and 6th. day of God's
Redemptive Week)
There will be "scoffers" in the Church that mock God's clock.
Peter said, "...that there shall come in the last days "scoffers", walking after their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of His Coming? for all things continue as the were from the beginning of the creation." (2Peter.3:3-4) Some say all the events of our day is just history repeating itself. They say "all things continue as they were." (2Peter.3:4) They say that every generation has thought their generation was the last. The fact is that it has been the "last days" since the 1st. century. (The last two thousand year days) Today we are in the last, of the last days!
The apostle Paul in the 1st. century said that time is short. (1Cor.7:29) Was he wrong? Of course not! He told the Thessalonians to comfort one another with the understanding of the Second Coming. (1Thes.4:18) Was he wrong because it did not happen in his life time? Of course not! He is writing under the inspiration of God, (2Tim.3:16-17) that also inspired Peter to write that one day is with the Lord is as a 1000 of our years. (2Peter.3:8-9) However the Thessalonians misunderstood this, and thought that this would happen at any moment, in their generation. This was corrected by Paul in a second letter (epistles) to them. (2Thes.2:1-8) What we must remember that all the scripture concerning "time" is always in context with a day is as a thousand years.
1. The word "scoffers" (2Peter.3:3)
This word means a derider, i.e. (by application) a false teacher :- mocker, scoffer. Strong's
The "scoffers" of Peters day were false teachers and prophets within the Church. (2Peter.2:1-
22; 3:1-9) These were not unbelievers. These were "deriders," that had denied "the Lord that
bought them." (2Peter.2:2, 1Cor.6:20, 1Peter.1:18-20, Exod.30:11-15, Num.3:49;
31:50) These were "tares" amongst the "wheat (Matt.13:24-30, 36-43) These were people
that laughed at the Second Coming with contempt .They mocked (i.e. treated the return of
Christ with scorn and ridicule). Today there are still "scoffers" in the Church that dismiss the
fact that Christ's Second Coming of Christ is near. They mimic in sport, those that teach Christ's
Coming as the Philistines did to Samson. (Judges.16:21-31) They mock the pattern that God is
working six days and resting the seventh.
2. These "scoffers" are walking after their own lusts. (2Peter.3:3)
The lifestyle (behavior / walk 4) of these false teachers and prophets caused them to resist
God's patterns in His Word and exalted themselves as the authority 5 concerning end
times. They speak with "great swelling (bulging over, insolent, arrogant, boastful) words having
men's person in admiration because of advantage." (Jude.1:16 They were man pleaser's)
Note: These "scoffers" (false teachers and prophets) would have been embarrassed to
associated with Noah as he built the Ark according to the pattern. As it was in Noah's day,
it is today! Many are "embarrassed" to build according to the pattern because it is not
intellectual enough. (1Cor.1:20-29) What Noah was building was "foolishness" (1Cor.2:1-
16) unto the natural man, but it was the "wisdom of God."
3. They said, "Where is the promise of His Coming?" (2Peter.3:4)
This was a challenge to God's Word. A challenge to His integrity and honesty. "Yea hath God
said?" (Gen.3:1, 2Cor.11:1-3)
4. Peter said, "For this they willingly are ignorant" (2Peter.3:5)
These scoffers "chose" (preferred) to believe a lie (1Thes.2:10-11) instead of the truth as they
did in the days of Noah. They were "eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark.Andknew not until the flood came..."
(Matt.24:36-39, 1Thes.5:4) Noah knew when to get on the Ark because he built according to the pattern. Paul says, "ye brethren, are not in darkness, that day should overtake you as a
thief." (1Thes.5:4) Noah did not know the day or the hour (Matt.24:36) of the flood, but he did know when to get on the Ark!
The Redemptive clock begins with the fall of Adam and Eve
This is the beginning of God's Redemptive Plan, the count down to fully restore us back to where Adam and Eve fell from. Jesus has already given Himself (Eph.5:25) as the "last Adam" (1Cor.15:45-46) that He might present to Himself a Glorious Church, (i.e."Eve"- 2Cor.11:3, Eph.5:21-33) in the 6th. day. (Gen.1:26-31) This preparation 6 has been ongoing since the Cross until our present day. At this present time the Church / Eve is ":espoused" (engaged) as "a chasted virgin" to Christ as Mary was to Joseph. (Gen.2:22, Eph.5:21-33, 2Cor.11:2-3, Matt.1:17-25) After the marriage takes places, then the restoration will complete and we will be back to where Adam and Eve fell from.
1. God told Adam, inthe day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die, (Gen.2:17) yet
Adam lived to 930 years old. (Gen.5:1-5) Is this a contradiction? No, Adam did die spiritually
that 24 hour day, (gen.3:1-24) and also died physically before his 1000 year day.
2. God's reveals His plan, that the "seed of the woman" would crush the serpents head.
(Gen.3:15, Col.2:14-15, Rom.16:20, Rev.12:1-17; 13:1-3) There is a plan and the clock
is ticking.
3. Then God made them "coats of skins." and clothed them, (Gen.3:21) foreshadowing
the Gospel. (Rom.5:12-21, Eph.2:1-22; 3:1-12) The pattern was the shedding of innocent
blood (Lev.17:11, Heb.9:22) as a substitutionary sacrifice to cover Adam and Eve's
nakedness. (Heb.4:12-16; 9:12-26) Their "fig leaves" (i.e. our self righteousness - Isa.64:6,
Rom.10:3) did not cover sin. Only the innocent, sinless blood of Christ, "who was manifest in
these last times for you" (1Peter.1:18-20 / timing / plan) can take away sin.(Heb.9-10)
Two thousand years from Adam to Abraham (2 Days) and two thousand years (2 Days)from Abraham to Christ.
1. From Adam to Abraham (Gen.5:1-32; 11:10-32) is almost two thousand years. Others place
Abraham about 1921 BC. and 1996 BC. The exact date does not change God's pattern of
working six days and resting the seventh. "So all the generations from Abraham to David are
fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen
generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto to Christ are fourteen
generations." (Matt.1-17, Note:v.17)
2. From Abraham to Christ another two thousand years, accounting for 4 days of God's Redemptive Week. This is found in the prophetic type of the Passover Lamb. (Exod.12:1-15,
Col.2:16-17) The Passover Lamb was taken and kept for 4 days and slain at the end of the 4th.
day. (Exod.12:3-6) Jesus, our Passover Lamb (1Cor.5:7-8) was taken when "sin entered
into the world." (Rom.5:12) He was kept for 4,000 years and "manifest in these last times for
you." (1Peter.1:18-20)
Our Calendar is 200 ?? which another 2,000 years (2 days)
This completes 6 days of God's Redemptive work Week. When "sin entered the world" by the fall of Adam and Eve, (Rom.5:12-21) God went back to work to redeem mankind back to Himself. Jesus said,"...my Father worketh hitherto, and I work" (John.5:17) God's work pattern did not change! He cannot deny Himself. He always works 6 days and rests the 7th.(Gen.1-2:1-3, Exod.16:26, 20:8)Mal.3:6, 2Tim.2:13, James.1:17)
The Prophetic picture of the Samaritan (Luke.10:25-35)
The "certain man" (some or any) man that fell among thieves which stripped him of his raiment
and wounding him, is a picture of humanity today! (John.10:10, Rom.3:23; 5:12-21) The "priest and the Levite9" speak of the "children of the flesh of Abraham," (Rom.9:1-8) Israel, the Jews today that should have been true their responsibility before God and ministered unto this man. Instead they "passed by on the other side."
Jesus is the "certain Samaritan" because,
1. The Samaritans were rejected by the House of Judah 8 (the Jews - John.4:8), just as Jesus
was rejected of "His own" (the Jews, the House of Judah)
2. The Samaritan "came where he (the certain man) was...saw him...had compassion on him." (Luke.10:33) An exact picture of what Jesus "began to do and teach." (Acts.1:1,
Phil.2:7, 1Peter.3:12, John.3:16)
3. The Samaritan provided for the man and promised to return. (Luke.10:34-35) Jesus has provided for us and has promised to return. (Phil.4:19, Matt.24:36-37)
4. The provision was two pence. A penny is equal to a days wages. (Matt.20:1-16, Note:v.2)
Jesus (the certain Samaritan) gave Himself and provided for us, and will returnafter two days (the 5th. and 6th. day)
1. "In the beginning... (Gen.1:1) No time mentioned. "God created the heaven and th earth..." (Gen.1:1) No time mentioned. "And the earth was (or became) without form or void...(Gen.1:2) No time mentioned. "And God said let there be light...(Gen.1:3) Now there is time mentioned in creation, and time for Redemption.
2. Many try to discredit the Flood of Noah's day and say it never happened. To discredit the Flood is to discredit Jesus who was to first to acknowledge the days of Noah (Matt.24:37-38) and He taught Peter. (Luke.24:44-45)
3. Some teach that Peter was not saying that the day of Pentecost was not the fulfillment of Joel2:28 because the Sun does not turn into darkness, and the moon into blood until the sixth seal (Rev.6:12) which is before the seven trumpets. (Rev.8:1-13) thE Seventh trump / the Second Coming of Christ. The answer is, the Holy Spirit through Peter was referring to the last two thousand year days God would pour out His Spirit until the Sun is darkened and the Moon turned to blood.
4. Walking- to traverse [to pass through or a cross, to cross in travel] i.e. to travel.
5. This authority was a Lust - a longing (especially for what is forbidden) A lust of power to be like God. Lust does not always mean sexual desires. (Jude used "Korah" as the example of this rebellion - Jude.1:11, Num.16:1-35)
6. This preparation is according to the pattern (i.e. blueprint) of the Covenant types and shadows. (Review Phase 2)
7. The Hebrew word for "week" is sevened. (Strong's)
8. Israel was a united kingdom until Solomon. (Exod.19 - 1Kings.11) After Solomon the kingdom was divided into two. The House of Israel ( ) and the House of Judah ( ) Samaria became the capital city of the House of Israel and Jerusalem was the capital of the House of Judah. ( ) The House of Israel "left all the commandments of the Lord their God, and made molten images...and served Baal." (2Kings.17:1-23) "Therefore the Lord...removed them from His sight." (2Kings.17:18-23) Then the Assyrians came and took them captive and they became mixed among the Assyrian race. The House of Judah
9. The Priests and the Levities were descendants of Levi, one of the sons of Jacob (Israel- Gen.49:5, Num.1:47-54, Deut.31:9-11) They were separated by God from the people of God, and were given responsibility was the minister unto the Lord and serve the people. By the time that Jesus came (John.1:1-14) they had replaced much of the Law of Moses with their man made traditions.(Matt.15:6) This resulted in the neglect of humanity in the name of religious traditions.
