1. The ram with two horns are the kings of Media Persia. (Dan.8:3-4, 20) 2. The Lion, Leopard, Bear was continued in the Book of Revelation. (Dan.7:1-8, 17. Rev.13:2) To summarize Continued on Phase 5, page 2 of 5
"Behold, there stood before the river a ram which had two horns: and the two horns were high;
but one was higher than the other, and the higher came up last. I saw the ram pushing westward,
and northward, and southward; so that no beasts might stand before him, neither was there any
that could deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will, and became great." Gabriel
interpreted (Dan.8:16) the ram which Daniel saw having two horns are the kings of Media and
Persia. (Dan.8:20)
Note: The time frame of this vision. It is history to us! It is speaking of the time of Media-Peria
and into the "latter time" of the kingdom of Greece. (Dan.8:20-23) Therefore the language
(Dan.8:23-25) of this vision belongs in the same period of time.2
2. The he (rough) goat is the king of Grecia. (Dan.8:5-7, 21)
As Daniel was considering, behold, an he goat came from the west on
the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat
had a notable horn between his eyes. (Dan.8:5-6) Gabriel interpreted
the "rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is
between his eyes is the first king. (Dan.8:21)
3. This "great (notable) horn" was Alexandria3 the Great. (Dan.8:8,
21) The "he goat" (the kingdom of Greece) waxed very great: during the
time of Alexandria "and when he was strong, the great horn (Alexandria"
was broken." History records Alexandria dying at the age of 33.2
4. Four horns stood up in place of the notable horn. (Dan.8:8, 22)
History records that four of Alexandria's Generals divided up the
kingdom in his place.4 History records four of Alexandria's Generals
divided up the kingdom in his place. (Compton Interactive Encyclopedia, 1996)
5. In the latter part of their kingdom
(Dan.8:9, 23) shall stand up "a
king of fierce countenance. (The
context is the kingdom of Greece)
This king is the "little horn"
was Antiochus Epiphanies
(175-164 BC.) king of Syria.
Remember: The context is history
to us.
Therefore all this language
belongs during the time period of
Greece and not in the last days.
a. Coming against the "pleasant
land" (Dan.8:9)
b. Waxed against the host of
heaven. (Dan.8:10)
c. Cast some of the stars to the
ground. (Dan.8:10)
d. Magnified himself even to the
prince of the host. (Dan.8:11)
e. And by him was the daily
sacrifice was taken away.
(Dan.8:11)
f. And the place of his sanctuary
was cast down. (Dan.8:11)
g. Cast truth to the ground.
(Dan.8:12)
The interpretation of the "little horn"is a pivotal point
Some of this language would seem to belong in the end time setting with the antichrist. However to do that, one would have to take Gabriel's interpretation out of context. Besides there is no animal sacrifices mentioned in the Book of Revelation because Jesus came to fulfill (complete) the animal sacrifices. (Matt.5:17-19, Heb.10:1-10) Animal sacrifices were only "a figure for the time then present," (Heb.9:9) until Jesus came offered Himself as the sacrifice, "once for all." (Heb.10:10) To teach that Gabriel is saying there will be animal sacrifices again in the last day, is to contradict the Holy Spirit that inspired the Book of Hebrews.(2Tim.3:15-16, 2Peter.1:21)
1. Remember: Daniel and Revelation are companion books
Daniel begins dealing with Babylon, Media-Persia, Greece, the beginning of the Roman
Empire and what was to happen to the earthly city of Jerusalem. Then Daniel was told to "shut up
the words, and seal the book even until the time of the end. (Dan.12:4, 9) In the Book of
Revelation, there is a sealed book opened that begins the order of events in the last days. The
order of last day. (Rev.5:1)

3. The ten kings and ten horns continued in Revelation. (Dan.2:40-45; 7:7, 24. Rev.17:12, 16)
4. The Golden Altar of Incense was continued in it's reality in the true Tabernacle that the Lord
pitched and not man. (Rev.8:1-4, Heb.8:1-5; 9:1-26)
5. The Temple continues in it's reality, the Church. (Rev.11:1-2, Acts.7:47-48)
6. The animal sacrifices did NOT continue because Jesus caused "the sacrifice and the
oblation to cease."5 (Dan.9:27, Heb.10:1-10, Matt.5:17-19) If the "little horn" of Dan.8:9,
23-25 is the antichrist then
a. Why is he taking away something that God has already taken away? (Heb.9:1-26; 10:1-10)
b. Why is he wasting his time exalting himself above "all that is called God," (2Thes.2:4)
when God's name is no longer recorded on the "figure," (i.e. The blood of bulls and goats
offered upon the Brazen Altar )?6 (Heb.9 - 10:1-10)
Note: The pattern of "heaven itself" requires God's name to be recorded on us and upon all
that we do. (Exod.20:24, Deut.12:5, 11, 21; 28:10, Num.6:27, 1Chron.13:6, 2Chron.2:4
[Eph.2:20-22], Matt.28:19; 18:16, Col.3:17) His name is still recorded on us in our
Water Baptism. (Matt.28:19, Acts.2:38; 8:16; 10:48; 19:5) This is why the antichrist wants
the number of his name (666) recorded on those the worship him. (Rev.13:18) The man of
sin, like his father Lucifer, (Satan, the Devil, that old Serpent Rev.12:9, Isa.14:11-14) wants to
"be like the Most High." A counterfeit!

The "little horn" of Dan.8:9, 23-25 belongs during the time of the "latter time" of the kingdom of
Greece, when the animal sacrifices and daily sacrifice was in force and had God's name
recorded upon it.
The vision of the cleansing of the sanctuary (Dan.8:14, 26-27)
The reason this vision is separate from the Ram and He Goat is because of three things.
1. The question was "How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and...the
sanctuary...trodden under foot?" (Dan.8:13) The answer was there would 2,300 days;
(i.e. "evenings and mornings"- Heb.) then shall the sanctuary be cleansed. The question
was destruction, not cleansing! The response did not answer to the question.
2. The answer that Gabriel gave to Daniel explained only the ram and he goat vision, not the
cleansing of the sanctuary. (Dan.8:1-12, 16-25)
3. After explaining the ram and he goat vision Gabriel (Dan.8:16) then speaks of the "vision of the
evening and the morning" (i.e. the cleansing of the sanctuary - Dan.8:14) and told Daniel to
"shut up" this vision, "for it shall be for many days." (Dan.8:26)
a. "Many days" is an end-time phrase
b. "Shut up." Note: Daniel was told to "shut up words, and seal the book even to the time of
the end." (Dan.12:4)
Where in the "last / latter days" is there a Temple / Sanctuary
to be cleansed?
At this time, there is no Temple7 (Sanctuary) today, it was destroyed 70 AD. (Dan.9:24-27) However there is a Temple being built. (Eph.2:20-22, 1Peter.2:5-9) This Temple the Church, the only "sanctuary" of God today. (John.2:18-20, Matt.23:36, Acts.7:47-48, 1Cor.6:19,
1Tim.3:15-16) When the Church has been built (i.e. come " unto the measure of the stature of Christ" Eph.4:11-16), God will cleanse this sanctuary, i.e. His Church. (Matt.13:24-30-, 36-43)
(Review: Phase 4, p.3 of 3 The Most Holy Place / Day of atonement)
This is because Christ cannot marry the Church with sin in it or else He would "unequally
yoked...for what fellowship hath righteous with unrighteousness?" (2Cor.6:14) Since the Cross the Church has been "espoused" (engaged) to Christ, (2Cor.11:3) but the Church has played "the harlot" (1Cor.6:15-20) with the things of this world (1John.2:16) and have become "adulterers and adulteresses." (James.4:1-4) This will disqualify many from being Christ's Bride, because the high priest (Jesus) can not marry an adulterer or a harlot. (Lev.21:10-15, Heb.3:1, Matt.5:17-19)
Note: Many are expecting this sin problem to be dealt with "in the moment, in the twinkling of an eye," (1Cor.15"51-52) but this is only our mortal bodies putting on immortality. It has nothing to do with your spiritual stature.
This is what Daniel saw "but none understood it." (Da.8:14, 26-27)

1. There is a "kingdom of God" in the Holy Ghost, in us right now, (Rom.14:17, Matt.12:28, Mark.1:15, Luke.9:27; 17:20-21) and there is a kingdom of God yet in the future. (The stone cut out of the mountain without hands." Luke.13:29) The context of "kingdom of God" used in Daniel's interpretation is a "future kingdom of God" that God will set up at Christ's return. (Daniel 2:40-45) Daniel is looking pass the kingdom of God in us, in the Holy Ghost.

2. Don't confuse the "little horn" of Dan.8:9, 23-25 with the "little horn" of Dan.7:8 20-25. They both have the same name, but belong in two different time periods. The "little horn" of Dan.8 belongs in the time period of Media-Persia and the latter time of Greece. The "little horn" of Dan.7:25 belongs in the time period of the last days (Rev.11:1-1-2; 12:6,14, Rev.13:5) and has nothing to do with animal sacrifices or a Temple. The purpose of this "little horn" of Dan.7:25 only is to "wear out the saints." The same purpose as the antichrist (beast) Rev.13. In fact there is nothing in Revelation about animal sacrifices being offered. There is a Temple being measure in Rev.11:1-2, but the Temple is the Church because "the most High dewlleth NOT in temples made with hands." (Acts.7:47-48) The ONLY TEMPLE OF GOD TODAY IS THE CHURCH. (John.2:18-20, Matt.23:38, 1Cor.6:19, 1Tim.3:15-16, Eph.2:1-22)

5. For full explanation of Jesus causing the "sacrifice and oblation to cease," refer to Phase 5, the 70 Week Prophecy
6. However God still receives sacrifice in it's fulfillment in Christ Matt.5:17-19)
7. The original Temple was "exceeding magnifical, of fame and of glory throughout all conteries." (1 Chron.22:5, 1 Kings.10:24) Unfortunately God's people forsook the Temple and the patterns of God's Word and the Temple went into a 70 year Babylonian captivity. (2Chron.5 - 2Chron.36) This was where Ezekiel saw "the glory of the Lord" depart from the Temple. (Eze.10:18) The Temple NEVER regained it former Glory (Haggai.2:1-9, Ezra.5:1-1-2) even after the Babylonian captivity and was desolated and burned many times during the time of Greece. (Dan.10-11) When Jesus came He said YOUR house will be left desolate. (Matt.23:36) Jesus said my body is now the true Temple. John.2:18-20) The Jews Temple was left desolate 70 AD.
