Questions and Answers Page 1
 Question 1
What does it mean to be born again?

Jesus was the first to use this term.
(John.3:1-7) Jesus told Nicodemus, "Verily, (truly) verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water (natural birth) and of the Spirit, (Spiritual birth) he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; (natural birth) and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. (spiritual birth) Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
(John 3:3-8)

Why did Jesus say, you "must be born again."

The reason is  because God's Word describes all of mankind to be "(spiritually) dead in trespasses and sin," (Eph.2:1, Rom.3:9-10,23; 5:10-21) and the only way back into fellowship with God (i.e. enter "the kingdom of God") is to be born back in.

Note the Genesis account.

1.  God created man in His triune image. (Matt.28:19, John.1:1, 14, 1John.5:7, John.17:5 /
     Isa.42:8, John.5:17-18, 1Tim.3:16,
Gen.1:27-28) "spirit and soul and body." (1Thes.5:23)
aOur spirit is our inner man. "For what man knoweth the things of man, save the spirit of man
which is in him." (1Cor.2:11, Rom.8:16) It is "the candle of the Lord" (Prov.20:27) Your spirit

is t
he real you. The Bible calls it a new creation, (2Cor.5:17) the new man. (Eph.2:15; 4:24)
bOur Soul is our mind, will and emotions. The "Word of God divides the "soul and spirit"
(Heb.4:12, Gen.2:7, 2Peter.2:8 Lot - seeing and hearing with his mind, will and emotions,
          it vexed his Soul)
     c.  Our Body is our natural, fleshly body.
(1Cor.15:51-52)

These were all in harmony with Adam and Eve before sin entered.

2.  God placed Adam in a "garden eastward in Eden "to dress it and to keep it." (Gen.2:8-
     15)
Adam was allowed to eat "of every tree of the garden...but of the tree of the knowledge of
good and evil he was not to eat.

3.  God created Eve for Adam. (Gen.2:18-25)

4.  Then came the serpent and cause Eve to revise the Word of God. (Gen.3:1-5) Compare
      Gen.2:16-17

5.  Then Eve "took of the fruit thereof...and gave also unto her husband...and he did eat "(Gen.3:6)
and sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for
that all have sinned." (Rom.5:12; 3:23)
     a.  God told Adam, "in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die."

(Gen.2:17) Adam did not die physically that day because he lived for 930 years. (Gen.5:1-5)

He died spiritually! It was "death by sin." (Rom.5:12)
     c.  The spirit of Adam and Eve died and became "darkness." Their candle went out!

(Prov.20:27) Death by sin is "darkness." (Matt.4:16, John.3:19,Col.1:13, 1Peter.2:9)

Paul says, "ye were ...darkness."(Eph.5:8)
     d.  Adam and Eve are now walking according to the "flesh (body) and of the mind" (soul).
(Eph.2:3) because their "spirit" (their candle Prov.20:27) is darkness / sin / dead.

This is why their spirit needed to be "born again!"

because their "spirit" was dead.

Adam and Eve's solution was "fig leaves"

Adam and Eve's solution
was to "sewed fig leaves
together, and made aprons" to cover
their nakedness (sin) because their eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they
were naked.." (Gen.3:7, Heb.4:13) These aprons of fig leaves were rejected by God. (Gen.3:21)

1.  Man knows that he is a sinner. He knows he needs to cover his sin. (Psa.19:1-3,
     Rom .1:20; 2:14-16)
This is evident by all the religions of the world, and their "man made"
rules to justify themselves to God.

2.  These "fig leaves" today, represent...Philosophy...Vain deceit...Tradition of  men...The
rudiments of the world." (Col.2:10-12) These all fail to cover sin when exposed by God's
voice (Word) Gen.3:8-10 These are "filthy rags," (Isa.64:6) The apostle Paul calls them, "dung."

(Phil.3:1-8)

Note: This is why none of our good religious deeds can justify us before God,
because we "were darkness." (Eph.5:8) We were not sinners because we sinned.
We were born in sin, (Rom.5:12, 1Cor.15:45-49) before we committed any sin. Jesus
said, "Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine
runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are
      preserved.
No man" (not even the heathen don't put) "a piece of new cloth unto an old
garment, or that which is put into fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made
      worse.
(Matt 9:16-17) It is good common sense to start brand new!

      ________________________________________________________

This is why Jesus was born of a virgin, (Matt.1:18-25, Isa.7:14) because "death by sin"
(Rom.5:12) has "passed upon all men" through the natural seed of the father. This is why
Joseph "knew her (Mary) not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his
name JESUS." (Matt.1:25) Jesus is "the seed of the woman." (Gen.3:15)

God's solution was Jesus, the "seed of the woman"

"And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel." (Gen.3:15)

God's solution was (Gen.3:15) to "put enmity (hostility) between thee (the Serpent) and the woman, and between thy seed (the serpent) and her seed. " (The Lord Jesus Christ! - Gen.3:15, Isa.7:14, Matt.1:23) This "enmity" / hostility was to continued until Jesus came with the "purpose" to "destroy the works of the devil," i.e. bruised the head of the serpent (1John.3:8 ) This was fulfilled when Jesus (the seed of the woman) was crucified, and blotted "out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, (i.e. Adams sin)...nailing it to his cross." (Col 2:14-15)

Jesus took our place! (Rom.5:12-21) He paid the "price," He died for our sin! (1Cor.6:19-20, 2Cor.5:21)
This is the reality of going through the Cherubim and flaming sword because death
was the only way back for Adam and Eve. (Gen.3:24, Isa 55:8-9, Rom.8:5-8)

When we put our trust in Christ, by faith we are crucified (i.e. go through the "flaming sword") with Him.
(Gal.2:20) When Jesus was buried, we were buried with Him, (Rom.6:1-5) and because Jesus resurrected " we..walk in newness of life." (i.e. born again)

This was the future promise to Adam and Eve.
(Gen.3:15-21)

Until then God killed an innocent animal and shed it's blood to cover Adam and Eve's sin

God was beginning to reveal His Redemptive plan in the Old Testament that would be finished (or completed) by Jesus, the ultimate Passover Lamb, that takes away the sin of the world. (John.1:29) This Old Testament sacrifice (the coats of skins) was "for the time then present...until the time of reformation," or the time that Christ comes. (Heb.9:1-10; 10:1-10) Under the Old Covenant (Testament) the "blood of bulls and goats" could never "take away sins." They could only cover sin until Jesus came "and lead captivity, captive. (Eph.4:1-10)

1.  It began with the coats of skin (Gen.3:21) which required death and blood to be shed
God said, "for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul."
Lev.17:11)
2.  "In the process of time...Abel" offered the firstlings (Lamb) of the flock. (Gen.4:1-4) The pattern
     did not change.This also required
death and blood to be shed.

3.  Then Noah offered sacrifice of clean animals on an Altar. (Gen.6:20-21) The pattern of death
     and blood being shed, continued.

4.  Then came the Law. This included the Sin offering, Trespass offering, Burnt offerings, Meal
(food offerings) and Peace offerings. (Lev.1-5) These required death and blood shed.

These were designed to bring us to Christ, (Gal.3:24) to bruise the head of the
      serpent. (Gen.3:15)

Jesus, (the seed of the woman) came

When Christ came, He came as the Lamb and "bruised" the head  of the serpent (Gen.3:15) at the Cross. (Col.2:14-15) He fulfilled / completed / confirmed, what the coats of skins, the firstlings of the flock, the Altar and the Levitical Offerings foreshadowed. (Dan.9:27, Rom.15:8, Gal.3:16-17, Matt.5:17-19, Heb.10:1-10)

1.  At the Cross, Jesus "was made sin for us," (2Cor.5:21) and He faced the Cherubim and flaming
sword (the judgment of God) instead of us.

2.  Now "by faith" I am "crucified with Christ"
(Gal.2:20) as He went through the judgement of the
     Cherubim and flaming sword.
2.  When Jesus was buried, I was buried. (Rom.6:1-6)
3.  When Jesus resurrected, I was resurrection to walk in newness of life. Born again!
4.  Now my Soul (mind will and emotions) and my flesh (body) must give place to the new spirit man

Note: To apply the Bible term of "being born again" to anything else other than the blood
atonement of Christ. is another Jesus.

 Question 2
The difference between "tongues," and the "gift of tongues."

The Corinthian Church had written (1Cor.7:1) the apostle Paul concerning the proper place for "tongues" when the "whole church be [came] together." (1Cor.14:22-26)

1.  Paul's inspired answer (2Tim.3:16-17, 1Cor.12-14)
     "
Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of
     administrations, but the same Lord.
And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same
God which worketh all in all.
But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit
     withal. (1Cor.12:4-8)
There is "diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit." (1Cor.12:4) One of
     those "gifts" is "tongues."

a.  "For one is given by the Spirit...divers (different kinds) of tongues." (1Cor.12:10)
     b.  There are "tongues (other tongued, i.e. a foreigner3) of men." (1Cor.13:1)
     c.  Tongues "of angels." (1Cor.13:1)
     d.  "Unknown tongues."- a language (specially, one naturally unacquired1) (1Cor.13:1)

2.  Not all speak with "divers kinds of tongues?"
(1Cor.12:29)
Here is the distinction being made between "divers kinds of tongues," unknown tongues, the
tongues of men and of of angels.
The context is clearly speaking of the "gift" of "divers kinds
     of tongues
," because everyone spoke in tongues that was baptized by Jesus (John.1:33,
     Acts.1:5)
 in the Holy Ghost.
     a.  They "began to speak with tongues..."
(Acts.2:4)

b.  They "received the Holy Ghost..." (matter - utterance / word / speech2) Acts.8:17-21

c.  Paul was "filled with the Holy Ghost," speaking "with tongues more than you all." (Acts.9:17,
          1Cor.14:18)

     d.  For "they heard them speak with tongues."
(Acts.10:44-48)
     e.  "And they spake with tongues."
(Acts.19:1-6)

3.  There is a "unknown" tongue separate from the "divers tongues."
(1Cor.14:2-20)
For "he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no
man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. (1Cor 14:2-3)

a. This "unknown tongue" speaks not unto men. (1Cor.14:2)
In this same chapter, the apostle writes, "tongues (other tongued, i.e. a foreigner3)
are for a sign...to them that believe not." (1Cor.14:22) Verse two Paul says "not unto men,"
then in verse twenty two, he says tongues are a sign "to them (men) that believe not."
 Is the
apostle Paul confused? Of course not! He is addressing the proper use of the "gift" of "divers
kinds of tongues" and the "unknown tongue" by distinguishing the difference between
          "tongues."
     b. The "unknown tongue" speaks unto God.

For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no
man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.
(1Cor 14:2-3)
For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, (Jude.1:20) but my understanding is
          unfruitful." (1Cor 14:14-15)

      c.
He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself. (1Cor 14:4-5)
"But ye, beloved, building (edifying) up yourselves on your most holy faith, (Eph.2:8) praying
           in the Holy Ghost." (Jude.1:20-21)
           ___________________________________________________________

This is where correction was needed in the Corinthian Church. They were thinking of their
own edification, "when they came together" (1Cor.14:26) rather than the edification of the
whole assembly. (1Cor.14:3-4, 12, 17, 26) The "more excellent way" (1Cor.12:31) was to
be motivated by "love" for their fellow saints.

Not for our selfish desires. (i.e. Being blessed "out-of-our-socks," being built up"
(Jude.1:20-21) edified in Christ, speaking mysteries. Doing "well, but the other (the Church
assembly) is not edified." 1Cor.14:17) (other tongued, i.e. a foreigner3)

It is to covet (be zealous for) the "best gifts." (i.e. the gift that is needed for edification for
that time) The context is moving together and not in competition. This is confirmed by the
next  chapter "Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts." (1Cor.14:1)
Why would Paul
say to "desire spiritual gifts" if "love" is the only thing need? The balance is to have both.

      e.
For "thou verily givest thanks well, but the other is not edified." (1Cor.14:17)
           Paul says, "
I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all," (1Cor.14:15-19)
"Yet in the Church (the corporate assembly of believers)
I had rather speak five words with
my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an
           unknown tongue.
(1Cor.14:19-20)
           - "
Even things without life giving sound...give a distinction..." (1Cor.14:7-8)
"So likewise...utter words by the tongue easy to be understood..." (1Cor.14:9)
           -  "There are...many kinds of voices in the world, and none without signification..."
               (1Cor.14:10)

Note: If "I know not the meaning of the voice, (i.e. If I continually speak in tongues in the
           corporate gathering
) I shall be a..barbarian...
(1Cor.14:11-16) "
Even so ye, forasmuch as ye
are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church."

(1Cor.14:12-13)

f.  Therefore "let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret."
(1Cor.14:13-14) When you speak in tongues to the corporate gather, there must be an
         interpretation.
(1Cor.14:27) or else "keep silence." The public speaking in tongues, should
be the "gift" of "divers kinds of tongues."

     g.
In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto
          this people
; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord.
Wherefore tongues are
for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth
not for them that believe not, but for them which believe. (1Cor.14:21, Isa.28:11)
          -
The day of Pentecost is an example. (Acts.2:1-11)

     h.
If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with
          tongues
, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, (which tongues are a
sign to - 1Cor.14.21) will they not say that ye are mad?
(1Cor.14:21-24)
          -  The only tongues that are "decent and in order" (1Cor.14:40) to the corporate gathering,
is the "gift" of "divers kinds of tongues," (1Cor.12:10)
with the interpretation.
          -
It must be by the mouth of two or at the most by three. (1Cor.14:27) because the "matter"
              is established after three. (Deut.19:15, Eccl.4:9-12, Matt.18:16, 2Cor.13:1)

4.  The apostle finishes his correction by saying "forbid not to speak in tongues"
      "
Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues. However,
      "
Let all things be done decently and in order. (1Cor.14:39-40) Have a balance, be "sober,"

(1Thes.5:6) and
don't give an "occasion to the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme"
(2Sam.12:14) "the name of God." (Rom.2:24) and His anointing upon His Church.

(Note: 2Cor.2:11)

"Brethren, be not children (1Cor.3:1-3; 13:9-12; Eph.4:11-16, Heb.5:14) in understanding:
howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men.
(1Cor.14:20-21)

   Question #3

Does the Book of Revelation follow verse after verse, chapter after chapter?

The answer is no!  Revelation is divided into three divisions. John was told to "
Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter."
(Rev 1:19-20)

1.  "The things which thou hast seen." (Rev.1:1-20)
     "
And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; And in the midst of the seven candlesticks
one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps
     with a golden girdle.
His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes
     were as a flame of fire;
And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his
voice as the sound of many waters.
And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth
went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
 And
when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me,
Fear not; I am the first and the last:
I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for
evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.Rev 1:12-18

2.  "The things which are." (Rev.2-3)
     "
The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden
candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks
which thou sawest are the seven churches." (
Rev 1:20-2:1)

3.  "The things which shall be herefater." (Rev.4-22)
     "
After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard
was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee
things which must be hereafter. (
i.e. Future) Rev 4:1-2. The "things which shall be herefater" are
     divided into two divisions.

     a.  Chapter four through eleven follows chapter after chapter. (Rev.4:1-11:19)

b.  Chapter twelve through twentytwo fills in the details.
          - The Rev.12 Woman is protected from the serpent for the same lenght of time as the beast
             has to continue. (Rev.13:5)
          -
Note: The beast has already been revealed in Rev.11:7
          -
Babylon falls during the time of the beast. (Rev.14:9; 17-19)
          -
The seven angels with the seven last plagues and vials are poured out on the seat of the
             beast. (Rev.15-16)
           - Armageddon is the beast making war against Jesis when He returns. (Rev.16:13-17)
           -
Jesus returns and destroys the beast at His return. (Rev.19:1-21) The Dragon put in
bottoless pit, the beast of false prophet in the lake of fire. Then there is a new jeavens and
              a new earth.

In each example they were connected with the beast (antichrist) placing them
              in the Tribulation time.
